- Lessons consist of 30 minutes of in-studio practice time and 30 minutes of individual instructional time.
- Lessons may also be extended to include group classes in theory and ear-training.
MISSED LESSONS
- Missed lessons will only be excused for emergencies or illness.
- Lessons may be rescheduled if a notification is given at least one-day in advance.
- Any unexcused lessons will not be made-up.
- Make-up lessons will be rescheduled at the teacher’s discretion based on availability.
- Lessons missed by the teacher will be rescheduled or a substitute will be provided.
- At no time will there be any tuition adjustments or refunds for missed lessons whether excused or unexcused.
PRACTICING
- Students are expected to maintain a regular practice routine on a daily basis. Practicing is the key to any music student’s success.
- The amount of time is dependent on the level of music assigned.
- Students who are obviously not putting in an adequate amount of quality practice time weekly will result in a cleaning chore in the studio and/or additional in-studio practice time which may include having to come in an additional day(s) just to practice.
MUSIC AND EQUIPMENT
- Music books assigned to students may be purchased through the studio.
- Payment for books will be due the week after the books are given.
- Students are responsible for bringing all assigned music to each lesson. This is imperative because the studio doesn’t always have extra copies of books for use during lessons and each individual book has handwritten annotations critical to learning the assigned pieces.
- Forgetting music will result in a cleaning chore in the studio and/or additional in-studio practice time which may include having to come in an additional day.
- Students are also required to purchase and use a metronome if they do not already own one.
TUITION PAYMENT
- Tuition may be paid monthly or quarterly.
- Students who decide to pay monthly but later decide to pay quarterly must wait until the beginning of the next quarter to change payment types.
- Students who decide to pay quarterly but later decide to pay monthly must also wait until the beginning of the next quarter to change payment types.
- See the studio calendar for the dates of each quarter.
